My website is just getting an update by my fab website designer (she knows who she is!) and I found myself looking back at a number of things that I have done in the last few years. Prompted probably by the fact that everything has been cancelled so far this year. A bit of thinking…..’OK that was good’. To keep the positive thinking going.
So I shall write about a few things I’ve been involved with in recent years and add a few links for you to take a look at if you fancy.
In 2017 I was lucky enough to have my painting ‘Escalation’ accepted for The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition exhibition in the Mall Galleries London. The Competition exhibition moved on to Trowbridge Arts, Trowbridge, Wiltshire later in 2017 and lastly Guildford House Gallery, Guildford, Surrey in 2018.
Then in 2018 I was asked if I would like to take part in a Q&A with Emma Walker Communications Assistant, Parker Harris Partnership and answer questions she asked like:
In terms of subject matter, architecture holds a particular fascination for you. Why is this? and You describe a typical painting as ‘a distillation of months of observations and experiments’. Can you tell us a little bit more about this process?
This is the painting. Acrylic on board.
And above is the link to the whole interview. @STWatercolour @ParkerHarrisCo
I would add, if anyone is thinking of having a go and entering…..just do it! I didn’t think I’d get in and I did. Just goes to show, if you don’t try…..
